Poster Collection

A space where I explore poster design.

Memories

Memory.png

Concept Statement

These two posters are from photos I took while traveling in Europe. Both sites are places that I have really deep feelings with personal memories.

To reflect my remembrance of such memories, I retouched the photographs, thereby softening the images to make them more emotional and nostalgic. For me personally, memories seem to never be sharply definite; rather, they are dreamy, warm, and a little blurry.

On the left poster, I divided the image of the bridge into several parts. This design choice represents the fragmented way we often recall the past through scattered memories. On the right, I replaced the sun with a sunflower. This small change reflects how I remember Vienna: full of sunshine, and warmth.

This project aims to promote travel imagery that evokes personal associations and positive emotions commonly linked to travel experiences. Travel agencies can use these visuals to inspire and attract potential travelers.

Gaze

Concept Statement

The experience of being looked at is a universal part of human life. Depending on context, it can evoke vulnerability, intimacy, or distance. This idea was inspired by film Thelma and Louise (1991) and Rear Window (1954). In both films, looking reveals inner emotions and complex social dynamics.

Drawing from these ideas, I created a visual piece showing two individuals caught in the act of looking, yet what they see remains unseen. This ambiguity adds suspense and shifts focus to their expressions, inviting viewers to reflect on the gaze itself. The poster acts as both a visual statement and a conceptual prompt, reminding us that looking is not just seeing, but also connecting and interpreting.

Intended as a conceptual museum poster, this work invites the viewer to slow down and engage in attentive observation. The subtitle, "Look closer, and see beyond," stresses that real things are below the surface.

I see you

Concept Statement

On the left poster, I used the phrase “I see you” in several different languages to create a heart-shaped arrangement of text. In the center, two people are gently leaning their foreheads together. This image suggests that they deeply understand each other, not through spoken words, but through their shared gesture. Their behavior becomes a silent language that expresses connection and mutual recognition.

On the right poster, there is an elderly woman with a visible hole in her heart. We do not know the details of her life, but we can sense the personal suffering she has experienced throughout the years. I often wonder what thoughts pass through the minds of those who have lived nearly a century. Has anyone truly seen her? Has anyone ever tried to understand her?

These works explore the expression of empathy and aim to raise awareness about the importance of caring for others. I hope these posters can serve as part of a campaign to promote mental health awareness.

I feel you

Concept Statement

For this poster, the hands are from the same person. The flowers are roses and Lisianthus. One hand is surrounded by roses, which can easily pierce the skin, while the other hand is surrounded by Lisianthus. The intended meaning is eternal love, representing the idea that you are your one true partner forever. Even though we may sometimes hurt ourselves with our own insecurities, doubts, or ego, self-hatred and self-love can coexist.

This poster is meant to express the concept that we can be our own best friend, always listening to and feeling our inner voice. I believe this could be used in a campaign aimed at raising mental health awareness.

Mexico

Concept Statement

The photo was taken during my trip to Mexico. Before the trip, I had been feeling depressed for a while. However, after visiting, the experience truly gave me new energy.

This poster is created based on my experiences and feelings from Mexico. As a vibrant, historic, and energetic country, Mexico brings joy to travelers. I included vocabulary on the poster to directly express the city’s vibe, as well as listing popular cities in Mexico. This poster is intended to help travel agencies promote advertisements aimed at people interested in exploring Latin American culture.
